The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) Requalification course is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, specifically designed for individuals who wish to work or volunteer as first responders. This qualification is ideal for those in roles such as emergency services, event medical teams, or community first responders, who are required to provide immediate care in emergency situations.
This 3-day course offers an in-depth understanding of prehospital emergency care and ensures learners acquire the essential knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively to a range of emergency scenarios. Topics covered include patient assessment, trauma management, CPR, and administering emergency oxygen, among others.
The FREC 3 certificate is valid for 3 years, after which learners must complete a refresher course to maintain their qualifications and continue working at a FREC 3 scope of practice. This short, focused course is designed to refresh the learner’s knowledge and skills, ensuring they remain confident and capable in delivering high-quality emergency care.
By completing the refresher course, learners will extend their FREC 3 qualification for another 3 years, ensuring their skills are up to date and they are well-prepared to handle future emergency situations.
