An Epic Start to the Year: MK Medical at GlastonBudget 2024!

It’s always a fantastic start to the year when we can send out a huge team to support an epic festival. Recently, our planning team at HQ was tasked with providing 24-hour cover for five days at a 5000+ person festival on very short notice. This quick turnaround required exceptional planning, organisation, and of course, our amazing clinical staff filling all those shifts.

Over the five days, we managed to cover over 50 shifts, staffed by a range of clinical grades from Advanced Paramedics to First Responders. We had a dedicated onsite operational commander for the entirety of the event, ensuring the kettle was always on and the site remained safe. She attended daily meetings with event organisers to ensure everything ran smoothly.

Facts and Figures

During the event, we attended to over 50 patients. All were managed onsite, including minor injury treatments, ongoing care for heavily intoxicated individuals, and general healthcare assessments and advice.

We met some incredible people, and the outfits never failed to bring a smile to our faces! Some attendees went all out, and we were thoroughly impressed… it’s just a shame we can’t share all the amazing photos!
