Epilepsy Management [Level 2]

This training course is well suited for staff working with individuals with epilepsy in healthcare and social care settings. It may also be suitable for individuals working in charity or community settings with adults and children with epilepsy. On completion of the Epilepsy Training Course, attendees will: •Understand the nature and incidence of epilepsy and its impact on the individual •Be familiar with the various forms of epilepsy and their clinical features •Be able to explain the range of treatments available for this condition •Know how to administer first aid following seizure •Understand the latest, best-practice seizure management •Gain insight into the role of the Individual health plan (IHP) or Epilepsy protocol Optional Course Additions Where required, we can also add Administration of Buccal Midazolam/Rectal Diazepam to the course.
